CALL FOR ARTISTS

APPAREL DESIGNERS! SCREEN PRINTERS! JEWELERS! KNITTERS!

Birdhouse Collective is on the lookout for small groups to collaborate and design looks for our upcoming fashion show. We’re looking for:

  • Handmade apparel and accessories that uphold a high standard of quality, craftsmanship, creativity, and individuality.

  • Cohesive designs that blend fine art with wearable fashion and let sustainability shine.

  • Artists and makers who prioritize connecting with their community.

  • A strong sense of brand / artist identity.

  • Professional, clear, and unique booth displays.

Individual artists will be considered, but priority will be given to groups.

EVENT INFORMATION

DATE + LOCATION

11/16/24 at The Baxter Hotel Ballroom

SET UP: 4:00-6:30 PM

EVENT TIME: 6:30-8:00 PM

TEAR DOWN: 8:00-9:00 PM

There will be a dress rehearsal one week before the event (date and time TBD based on accepted groups’ availability). Please make sure at least one member of your group and all models are available for dress rehearsal.

BOOTH INFO

A 6’ table with a tablecloth will be provided to all artists.

There will be space for one garment rack on the side for clothing vendors.

Artist must provide their own garment rack and are permitted one rack per artist.

Booth Fee: $20 per artist

What sets Birdhouse events apart:

  1. We focus on collaboration and community. All participants are encouraged to collaborate to create a cohesive look amongst apparel artists, knitters, screen printers, jewelers, and more! This event supports Haven who works to empower survivors of domestic violence, elevate their voices, strengthen our community, hold abusers accountable, and stop the cycle of abuse.

  2. Our event is hosted by artists, for artists. Our organizers know from vast experience what makes a market feel good for vendors and shoppers.

  3. We are committed to supporting new makers as they launch their businesses, while also providing seasoned artisans with opportunities to expand and grow their existing ventures.

  4. We have a robust advertising strategy for promoting our markets, including print and digital materials, social media posts, submission to Bozeman events calendars, and professional photography at each event to promote our artists.

Rules & Regulations:

  1. Booth fees are non-refundable.

  2. Birdhouse Collective will provide each artist with a 6’ table and tablecloth. Please provide your own garment rack (one rack per artist).

  3. All products sold in your booth must be your original design and be relevant to the event.

  4. Commercially produced, resold items, and Secondary Sales are not permitted at this event.

Insurance and Liability: All work is exhibited at the artist’s own risk. Birdhouse Collective is not responsible for exhibit damages, bodily harm, or theft. Artists can be held liable should they or any of their property cause damage to the space or neighboring exhibitors and neighboring space. Exhibitors must abide by, and displays must be in accordance with local fire and venue regulations. Tents must be weighed down.

Photography Release: Birdhouse Collective reserves the right to photograph and record video during the event for marketing and advertising purposes. As a participating artist, you agree to the release of your photograph or likeness.

Parking: This event is held downtown and there is no dedicated vendor parking. Please give yourself plenty of time to find parking, unload, and be set up by 5:00 PM. Consider parking in the garage, the lot at the corner of Black and Mendenhall, or street parking that is not limited to 2 hours. Birdhouse Collective is not responsible for parking tickets received by vendors during the event.
